Effective
What you send us with a quote request
The quote form is the only place this site asks for personal details. When you send it, we receive:
- your name and email address;
- the event date, guest count, and the city or venue;
- anything optional you add: phone number, venue or address, budget, type of event, whether you would like the whole event planned, and your notes;
- the rental list you built, with quantities and options;
- how you found us: the first page you opened on this visit (including any campaign tag in its address) and the website that sent you, if your browser reports one.
The form also has a hidden field that people never see. If it is filled in, the request is treated as spam and not passed on, and its contents stay only in our hosting provider's server logs.
No payment is taken on this site, and it has no accounts or logins.
How we use it
We use your details to answer your request: to price the order, confirm delivery to your venue, ask follow-up questions and, if you ask for it, plan the event with the WaterVue Events Co. planning team. The “how you found us” line tells us which of our listings and links are working.
We do not add you to a mailing list, and we do not sell or rent your information. We share it only as this page describes: with the services below that run the site, and where needed to prepare and deliver your rental order.
Who handles it for us
- Resend delivers each quote request by email to our team's inboxes. Our reply comes from us, to the email address you gave. Resend privacy policy
- Vercel hosts the site and runs the quote form. A backup copy of each request is kept in private Vercel storage, so a request is never lost if email delivery fails. It is not publicly accessible. A copy of each request, including any the form turns back for a missing or invalid field, also appears in the hosting server logs, which Vercel keeps for a limited time. Vercel privacy policy
- Google provides Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager, described below. How Google uses data from sites like this one
Nothing else is loaded from other companies. The fonts and images are served from this site.
Analytics and cookies
We use two analytics tools to see which pages help people plan and which do not. Neither receives your name, email address, phone number or notes.
Google Analytics
Google Analytics 4 is loaded through Google Tag Manager, on watervueeventrentals.com only. It records the pages you view, the site that sent you, your device and browser type, and your general location, which Google works out from your connection. It also records a few actions:
- adding an item to your quote list (the item and quantity);
- sending a quote request (how many items, whether a budget was given, whether planning was requested, and the event type);
- tapping the phone number or email address (the page you were on).
To tell one visit from another, it sets two first-party cookies, _ga and _ga_VK85W5FFSZ, which by default last up to two years.
Vercel Web Analytics
Vercel Web Analytics counts page views and the same quote, phone and email actions. It does not set cookies.
On your own device
Your quote list is saved in your browser's local storage so it survives between visits. It is cleared when your request is sent, or when you remove the items. The “how you found us” note is kept in session storage, which your browser clears when you close the tab, and it reaches us only if you send a quote request. Neither is a cookie, and neither is sent to an analytics tool.
Your choices
This site does not show a cookie banner, so Google Analytics runs for every visitor to watervueeventrentals.com. To opt out, install Google's Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on, block cookies in your browser settings, or use a content blocker. The site, including the quote form, works with all of them.
There is no advertising on this site, and no advertising, remarketing or social media tracking tags.
How long we keep it
Quote requests stay in our email inboxes and in the private backup storage until we delete them. There is no automatic deletion schedule. If you would like yours deleted, ask us at the address below.
Google Analytics keeps its data under the retention setting of our Analytics account, and Vercel keeps its server logs for its own limited period.
Seeing, correcting or deleting your information
You can ask us what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. One email or call is enough. We may need to confirm the request came from you before we act on it.
Security
The whole site is served over HTTPS, and quote backups are stored privately. No method of sending or storing information over the internet is completely secure, so we collect only what a quote needs.
Florida and United States visitors
We serve Destin and the Emerald Coast of Florida, and this site is meant for visitors in the United States. Your information is processed in the United States.
Children
This site is for people planning events. It is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.
Changes to this policy
When the site changes what it collects or who handles it, we update this page and the effective date at the top.
