- Round table seating chart: how many people fit at each size
A 60-inch (5-foot) round table seats 8 comfortably and up to 10 (typical); a 72-inch (6-foot) round seats 10 comfortably and up to 12 (typical). We list our own 60-inch rounds at 6 to 8 and 72-inch rounds at 8 to 10, which leaves room for full place settings and a centerpiece.
- How many chafing dishes you need for 100 guests
Use one chafing dish for each hot dish on each serving line: a 100-guest buffet with two mains and three hot sides needs 5 chafers on one line, or 10 if you split guests across two lines. Keep refill pans hot in insulated carriers, since a full-size pan holds roughly 20 to 30 main-course portions (typical).
- How many tables and chairs you need for 100 guests
For 100 seated guests, rent 100 chairs plus a few spares, then divide the guest count by the seats per table. With our 60-inch rounds, listed at 6 to 8 seats, that is 13 tables at 8 per table or 17 at 6; with our 72-inch rounds, listed at 8 to 10, it is 10 to 13 tables.
